The 250 class is ready to hit the track at Budds Creek, and the championship battle could not be much closer heading into the second-to-last round of the season. Levi Kitchen brings the red plate into Maryland with 334 points, but Cole Davies is now just one point behind after winning back-to-back Nationals at Washougal and Unadilla. Davies has been the hottest rider in the class with four wins in the last six rounds, while Kitchen continues to show plenty of raw speed and won the opening moto last weekend at Unadilla. Chance Hymas has also been coming on strong with three consecutive overall podiums, while Julien Beaumer and Ryder DiFrancesco remain firmly in the mix near the front. Budds Creek is known for its hills, off-camber corners and deep, tacky soil, and the 250 riders are heading out now to see who can put together the fastest lap in qualifying.

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
Julien Beaumer looked good in the mud and has the potential to take the win today.
Cole Davies was fastest in session two and second overall in qualifying.
250 QUALIFYING RESULTS SESSION 1
Chance Hymas was able to briefly see the top of the leaderboard.
Cole Davies was the first rider to put down a fast lap, immediately setting a strong pace that looked like it would be difficult to beat. Landen Gordon also found some smooth lines early and moved into second, but the order quickly began to change. Chance Hymas jumped to the top of the board, while Levi Kitchen moved into third and pushed Gordon down the leaderboard.
As the session continued, the times started dropping. Kitchen eventually moved into the top spot, followed by Davies and Ryder DiFrancesco. All three riders have shown plenty of qualifying speed throughout the season, so it was no surprise to see them at the front. Gordon responded with another strong lap to climb back into fourth, moving Hymas to fifth. From there, the order remained relatively unchanged as the session came to a close.
