The 250 class is ready to hit the track at Ironman Raceway for the final round of the 2026 Pro Motocross Championship, and the title is still up for grabs with just two motos remaining. Cole Davies brings the red plate into Indiana with 378 points and a 14-point advantage over Levi Kitchen, who sits second with 364. Davies regained control of the championship at Budds Creek after winning moto one and finishing second overall with 1-3 scores, while Kitchen battled through a difficult opening moto and finished fifth overall. Chance Hymas comes into the finale with momentum after taking the Budds Creek overall victory with 2-1 scores, while Julien Beaumer sits third in the championship ahead of Hymas and Ryder DiFrancesco. With its steep hills, long ruts and high-speed sections, Ironman Raceway will provide one final challenge for the 250 field as the riders head out for qualifying and Davies and Kitchen prepare to settle the championship.

The first session started much like many others this season, with Cole Davies, Levi Kitchen and Julien Beaumer immediately setting the early pace and trading fast laps near the top of the board. As the track began to develop and the riders settled into the session, Caden Dudney put together a strong lap of his own and briefly moved into the number-one spot. His time at the top would not last long, though, as Davies quickly responded and jumped back ahead of the field.

Drew Adams was another rider showing good speed early, working his way inside the top five and keeping himself within striking distance of the leaders. Kitchen and Beaumer remained close as the session continued, but Davies continued to find time around the Ironman layout. Toward the conclusion of the session, Chance Hymas made a late push and moved into second, but there was no stopping Davies. He held onto the top spot through the final minutes and finished the opening qualifying session with the fastest lap.

Ryder DiFrancesco once again put himself near the front early.
