Presented by FXR Racing: The 450 class is heading into the motos at Budds Creek with the track looking completely different from what the riders saw early in the morning. Haiden Deegan grabbed the top qualifying spot before the rain took over, with Jett Lawrence second, R.J. Hampshire third, Hunter Lawrence fourth and Eli Tomac fifth. By the second session, the track had deteriorated so badly that most of the field completed only a lap before heading back to the pits, leaving the opening-session times untouched. Deegan was one of the few riders willing to keep circulating in the mud, and he looked comfortable even as conditions continued to get worse. Jett enters the afternoon with a ten-point championship lead over Hunter, but on a track this wet and unpredictable, outright speed may matter less than getting a start, staying upright and keeping the bike moving. Budds Creek is set up for a completely different kind of 450 race.

450 OVERALL RACE RESULTS

R.J. Hampshire was very fast, but a few mistakes kept him from the top five.

Jorge Prado got a strong jump off the start, but Hunter Lawrence slipped underneath him in the opening corner and quickly took control of the race. Hunter wasted no time building a gap, stretching his advantage to nearly three seconds by the end of the first lap.

Further back, Haiden Deegan and Jett Lawrence were working through traffic while battling around R.J. Hampshire and Justin Barcia for position. Jett was able to make his way forward into third, while Deegan had a tougher time getting around Barcia before eventually moving into fifth.

Out front, Hunter continued to look comfortable and extended his lead to roughly six seconds over Prado. Prado was also riding well in second and keeping Jett behind him, while Mikkel Haarup held a strong fourth aboard the Triumph.

As the race wore on, Deegan eventually found his way past Haarup for fourth, but there was no catching Hunter Lawrence. Hunter controlled the moto from the opening lap to the finish and maximized his points with another strong win.
