Presented by FXR Racing: The 450 field heads into Columbus with plenty of unknowns as the 2026 SuperMotocross Playoffs begin under unusual circumstances. With qualifying wiped off the schedule earlier in the day, the riders will have to attack the opening moto with limited track time and little opportunity to see how the course develops at race pace. Hunter Lawrence comes into the postseason carrying momentum from his 450 Pro Motocross Championship, while Jorge Prado, Cooper Webb, Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen and the rest of the field look to put themselves in position early in the three-round series. Haiden Deegan also adds another storyline to the premier class as he steps onto the 450 for the SMX postseason. The opening gate drop in Columbus will be the first real test of the track, and with championship points immediately on the line, there will be very little room for mistakes.

Haiden Deegan takes his first premier-class win!

Haiden Deegan grabbed the holeshot with Ken Roczen right behind him, and the two quickly began trading pressure in the opening laps. Deegan knew his first 450 overall victory was within reach and was willing to take a few chances early as he tried to create some breathing room. The track was extremely technical and continued to punish mistakes, with Hunter Lawrence once again getting caught out and running as far back as seventeenth around the halfway point. Up front, Deegan did a good job managing traffic and used the lappers to his advantage, putting riders between himself and Roczen on a track that had become very one-lined and difficult to pass on. From there, Deegan slowly stretched the gap and kept control of the race all the way to the finish, earning his first overall win in the 450 class.

Ken Roczen finishes second overall and sets himself up well heading into double points next weekend.

450 RACE RESULTS MOTO ONE

Haiden Deegan grabbed his first premier class moto win.

Jorge Prado grabbed the holeshot with Aaron Plessinger right behind him, but the order changed almost immediately when Plessinger went down in the first rhythm section and was forced to restart from the back of the field. Haiden Deegan slotted into second off the start and wasted no time making his move, quickly taking over the lead and beginning to pull away. Within the opening laps, Deegan had already built a gap of more than three seconds as Ken Roczen worked his way forward and moved into second. Roczen started to close in and put himself in position to challenge, while Prado settled into third and tried to stay within reach of the leaders. Behind them, Hunter Lawrence found himself at the back of the pack after an early mistake and was left with a long charge ahead of him. Up front, Deegan continued to raise the pace and steadily stretched his advantage, eventually opening up a lead of more than ten seconds over the rest of the field. Roczen and Prado remained second and third, but neither could match Deegan’s pace as he controlled the race from the front. When the checkered flag came out, Deegan capped off a dominant ride with the first premier-class moto win of his career.
