While the majority of last year's loan crop returned home with their tails between their legs, Mikey Moore emerged as a genuine star in the second half of last season for Glasgow Rangers.

The teenager may have only scored seven Premiership goals, yet two of those notably came at Celtic Park, having also given the Gers' Glasgow rivals the runaround at Ibrox in March.

That latter performance up against Julian Araujo truly was breathtaking, the 18-year-old taking the game by the scruff of the neck from his left-wing berth, driving at the visiting defence time and again.

Moore is now back at Tottenham Hotspur and is making his presence felt again in north London, while for Rangers, a new-look forward line is now being assembled, with Kevin Kelsy set to follow Kim Min-su to Ibrox.

Derek McInnes hasn't enjoyed the start he would have wanted in Glasgow, the succession of half-time substitutions, as was the case again on Thursday night, speaking to a man who's already feeling the pressure in the Rangers hot seat.

And yet, considering the squad overhaul he is overseeing, perhaps patience is needed as a string of new signings attempt to bed in.

For all the early activity in the market, the Gers just didn't appear ready on the opening weekend, the selection of Ryan Naderi on the right flank an obvious case in point.

Losing Youssef Chermiti to an ACL blow has further complicated matters, although the incoming Kelsy should help in that regard, the 6 foot 4 Venezuelan another eye-catching, 22-year-old striker who can fill that notable void.

He's not necessarily been prolific, yet 16 goals since the start of the 2025 MLS season makes for strong reading, with The Athletic's Tom Bogert tipping the £9m man to 'score a ton of goals' in a Rangers shirt.

The departing Portland Timbers star will beef up the centre-forward ranks, while off the left, Djeidi Gassama should be getting a little worried about the presence of the aforementioned Kim.

Signed from Girona on an £8.5m deal, Kim will be the direct replacement for Moore on that side, having sparkled in Spain's second tier last term, scoring and assisting ten goals for FC Andorra.

Still only 20, the South Korean is another electric, direct winger who loves driving at his man, having ended that LaLiga.2 campaign with an average of 1.2 successful dribbles per game, just below Moore's Premiership average of 1.5.

With Kim, and hopefully Kelsy, on board, there is now a youthful feel to McInnes' forward line - but what of the right flank?

You can't say McInnes hasn't been backed, with the Ibrox hierarchy already making 12 signings this summer, with Kelsy set to be lucky number 13.

Among those to have entered the building is Japanese speedster, Daisuke Yokota, the 26-year-old currently the standout option on the right flank, following the sale of the hapless Oliver Antman.

The former Hannover man will be hoping to nail down that role moving forward, yet even with Rangers splashing the cash on Yokota and Kim, McInnes seemingly wants more, with another right-winger still in his crosshairs.

As per the Rangers Review, for instance, the Glasgow giants remain in active talks to sign Brighton and Hove Albion starlet, Amario Cozier-Duberry, with there still a chance a deal can be struck before the deadline.

The Ibrox side have already seen a £7.5m bid rejected for the 21-year-old, although he remains a 'live target', ensuring this is one to watch heading into the final week of the window.

Formerly of Arsenal, Cozier-Duberry is another product of a London academy, like Moore, albeit having had to fly the nest amid his hopes of increased game time, leaving the Gunners behind for Brighton in 2024.

Previously tipped to be the 'next Bukayo Saka' during his time at the Emirates, the young Englishman certainly has sky-high potential, even if he hasn't yet broken into the Seagulls' first team on a regular basis.

Sent on loan to Blackburn Rovers in 2024/25, it was a spell at Bolton Wanderers last season where he truly flourished, showcasing just what a sensation he is at such a young age.

Indeed, operating off the right flank, Cozier-Duberry was devastating as Bolton secured promotion back into the Championship, the youngster producing a catalogue of outrageous finishes on his favoured left foot.

In all, he scored eight and assisted a further ten in League One, having created ten 'big chances' while averaging 1.6 key passes per game.

For context, Moore scored and assisted just ten goals, while creating seven 'big chances' and averaging 1.2 key passes per game in Glasgow.

Where Cozier-Duberry particularly excels is in terms of his dribbling prowess, such a handful when driving at players, as seen in his average of 1.9 successful dribbles per game in England's third tier.

He's a player who can "create something out of nothing", in the view of then-boss Steven Schumacher, with the Gers having certainly lacked that type of figure in the early weeks of the campaign, following Moore's return to Tottenham.

Of course, Kim and Kelsy look like real prospects in their own right, yet if the Saka-esque Cozier-Duberry follows the pair to Glasgow, he could well be the best of the bunch.
