Former two-division UFC champion Alex Pereira took his strongest stance yet against Josh Hokit’s antics ahead of UFC Freedom 250.

Alex Pereira will face former interim UFC heavyweight champion Ciryl Gane in the UFC Freedom 250 co-main this weekend. Still, another rising heavyweight has also claimed space in his mind ahead of fight night.

Pereira, who is pushing to become the UFC’s first three-division champ, is a frequent target of polarizing heavyweight Josh Hokit’s antics outside of the Octagon. After Hokit mocked Pereira’s mother during a recent press conference, Ilia Topuria came to Pereira’s defense, and chaos nearly ensued on stage.

Hokit and Pereira are sharing the same hotel ahead of UFC Freedom 250 this weekend. The two crossed paths in the hotel lobby, with Hokit calling Pereira an explicit slur in front of his father.

If Hokit and Pereira are victorious this weekend, a future heavyweight showdown would become more realistic. But Pereira doesn’t believe the fight will come to fruition, as he hinted the UFC matchmakers aren’t buying what Hokit’s selling.

Alex Pereira: Josh Hokit ‘might not be here’ after UFC White House

During his UFC Freedom 250 media day press conference, Pereira reacted to Hokit’s latest antics and called for the promotion to take swift action.

Josh Hokit just called Alex Pereira a p*ssy in front of his dad 😬

“We can’t remove him from the card on Sunday; he’s already in there, so he’s going to fight. But I’ve just heard some things – and I don’t even know if he’s going to be a part of this organization going forward,” Pereira said of Hokit.

“I’ve heard some things here and there, maybe not even worth talking about [him] because I don’t know if he’s going to be here. There’s a huge audience that watches this, children, families, and a lot of things that he does and says are just very disrespectful.”

Despite granting Hokit a spot on the White House card this weekend, UFC CEO Dana White has repeatedly said he isn’t a fan of Hokit’s antics.
