Not many teams go through a roller-coaster seven-game stretch like the Seattle Mariners have over the past week.

Seattle is 4-3 over its last seven games, a stretch that included losses of 22-0 and 19-2, as well as two walk-off wins. That seven-game stretch also included a three-home-run performance on Monday that could be exactly what the Mariners need to get rolling.

Could Cal Raleigh finally be back?

Seattle was tasked with facing Philadelphia Phillies ace Zack Wheeler on Monday, but they didn't seem to mind. The Mariners jumped Wheeler for five runs in the first inning on the way to a 9-2 win.

The performance of the night came from the struggling Cal Raleigh, as he went 3-for-3 with three home runs and four RBI. It is by far the best and most confident Raleigh has looked at the plate all season.

It was the first three-home-run game of Raleigh's career, and he became the first player in franchise history to hit three home runs in one game at T-Mobile Park.

Cal Raleigh has slowly been improving at the plate

Over the last 15 days, Raleigh is slashing .211/.388/.605, good for an OPS of .993 with five doubles, eight RBI and 11 walks. The average still isn't there, but Raleigh is once again becoming a patient hitter and picking his moments when to hit for power.

Seattle Mariners need their catcher to stay hot at the plate

The Mariners enter Tuesday three games out of first place in the AL West, as well as three games out of the third and final AL wild-card spot.

With one of the easiest remaining schedules, Seattle will need Raleigh to continue hitting if it has hopes of reaching the playoffs for a third time in five seasons.
