Former UFC fan favorite Darren Till’s toughness can’t be questioned after recent remarks he made ahead of Bare Knuckle FC 94.
Former UFC fan favorites Darren Till and Yoel Romero will clash in the Bare Knuckle FC 94 main event on September 26th in Manchester. The fight headlines a stacked card in the promotion’s return to the UK, featuring the returns of champions David Mundell and Karl Thompson on the undercard.
Till recently admitted he repeatedly turned down fighting Romero while they were in the UFC Octagon, citing Romero’s intimidating style and skill set. But the two sides will clash in the BKFC ring and shared a long face-off at a recent press conference.
Till vs. Romero is expected to be one of the most exciting fights in BKFC history. But as Till recently admitted, he’ll enter the Romero fight physically compromised.
Darren Till reveals he’ll fight Yoel Romero with a ‘torn ACL’ at BKFC 94
In a recent interview with MMA Junkie, Till made a stunning admission about his health ahead of BKFC 94.
“I’m still walking around with a torn ACL,” Till said.
“After my fight with Luke Rockhold, it actually popped out in the changing room. My last fight, last camp, it was good. Now it’s good. I can do everything, movements and stuff. But it is the reality of it. I think once I get those knees done and dusted and I’ve made all my money inside, whether it be the bare knuckle, Misfits Boxing, or whatever, I’m hopeful to go back [to MMA].
“It just depends on where my career goes in the next year or two.”
Till’s BKFC debut ended with a one-punch knockout win against Aaron Chalmers in May. If he produces a similar result against Romero, it’ll be arguably more impressive due to his apparent health issues.
