Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayDavid Adeleye has left Queensberry Promotions after seven years, putting a proposed heavyweight fight with Guido Vianello in doubt.
The 29-year-old announced that he will not sign a new deal with Frank Warren’s company and is now a free agent. The British heavyweight joined Queensberry upon turning professional in 2019.
After seven years with Queensberry Promotions, I’ve made the decision not to renew my contract,” he said in a statement. “I’m grateful to Frank Warren for the opportunities throughout my career so far.”
His departure comes at an interesting point in his career. Queensberry had been linked with matching Adeleye against Vianello, who remains with the company. Making that fight was simple when both heavyweights shared the same promoter. Free agency changes the situation completely.
The London fighter hasn’t boxed since losing a 10-round decision to Filip Hrgovic in August 2025. Despite the defeat, Adeleye had Hrgovic in serious trouble after hurting him and following with a barrage of punches.
That performance against Hrgovic showed Adeleye can compete above domestic level. With a 14-2 record and 13 knockouts, he needs meaningful fights rather than spending another year against low-level opposition.
Adeleye also captured the British heavyweight title in April 2025 before giving up the belt, making his Queensberry exit a significant change after spending his entire professional career with the company.
Leaving Queensberry gives Adeleye the freedom to negotiate elsewhere, though making the Vianello fight will now require the two sides to reach a separate agreement.
