The Utah Jazz are facing a major decision with the No. 2 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft, as the franchise continues evaluating three of the top prospects available: AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson.
According to The Athletic reporter Tony Jones, the Jazz remain torn between the three players ahead of draft night. Utah is expected to choose from a group that could shape the direction of its rebuild after finishing the 2025-26 season with a 22-60 record, the worst mark in the Western Conference.

— Tony Jones (@Tjonesonthenba) June 16, 2026Dybantsa has been one of the most productive players in the class. The BYU forward averaged 25.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 35 games as a freshman, shooting 51.0% from the field and 33.1% from three-point range.
His combination of size, scoring volume and ability to create offense has made him a favorite near the top of the draft. He has worked out only with the Washington Wizards and Jazz, two teams holding the first two picks.
The Jazz are also considering Boozer, who posted an elite statistical season at Duke University. Boozer averaged 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists while shooting 55.6% from the field and 39.1% from three-point range.
Boozer’s efficiency separated him from many prospects in the class. His 60.7% effective field goal percentage reflected his ability to score inside while also stretching the floor, and his 3.4 offensive rebounds per game showed his impact around the basket.
The third option is Peterson. The Kansas guard averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 24 games, knocking down 38.2% of his three-point attempts on 6.9 attempts per game.
Peterson has been more limited during the pre-draft process, working out only with the Wizards. His scoring ability and perimeter shooting profile make him one of the most intriguing guard prospects in the class.
The 2026 draft lottery placed Washington first, Utah second and Memphis third, leaving the Jazz with access to any prospect except the top player selected by the Wizards.
