Reigning AMA and Australian WMX Champion Lachlan Turner joined two-time WMX World Champion Lotte van Drunen at the final round of the FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship in Darwin, Australia.

With the MXGP World Championship already decided, the final rounds of the WMX and MX2 World Championships delivered plenty of action. Lachlan Turner flew in from the United States and decided to make her WMX debut on a stock 2027 Yamaha YZ250F. It is safe to say that she impressed!

Lotte van Drunen raced to second overall and secured the bronze medal in the 2026 FIM Women’s Motocross World Championship after a difficult start to the season.

In the MX2 class, Monster Energy Yamaha Factory MX2 rookie Janis Reisulis closed out his 2026 campaign with an impressive podium finish. He also collected a €5,000 cheque for being named MX2 Rookie of the Year.
