Manchester City are hoping to sign the Chelsea midfielder Enzo Fernandez.

According to Gianluigi Longari, they are now pushing to sign the 25-year-old Argentine international, and a new offer is expected. Manchester City manager Enzo Maresca has reportedly made the Chelsea midfielder a priority target, but it remains to be seen whether all parties can close the deal.

Enzo Fernandez could join Manchester City

Fernandez has been outstanding for Chelsea since joining the club, and he has been a key player for his country as well. There is no doubt that he would be an excellent acquisition for Manchester City as well.

Manchester City have sanctioned the departure of Tijjani Reijnders and Rodri. Gonzalez is close to leaving the club for Newcastle as well. Manchester City need more quality in the middle of the park, and Enzo Fernandez would add control, composure and creativity to the team. He can score goals consistently, and he would add a new dimension to the Manchester City attack.

Chelsea will not be able to provide the player with Champions League football this season, and the 25-year-old could look to move on. He has shown his quality at Chelsea consistently, and this could be the right time for him to take on a new challenge.
