Mikal Bridges has a reliable Chipotle order that works for him whether he wants a full meal or simply something to eat between bigger meals.

His usual combination starts with white rice and beans before adding double chicken for extra protein. He rounds out the order with corn, salsa and either lettuce or fajita vegetables.

Bridges previously added cheese as well, but removed it after deciding to stop eating cheese. He admitted it used to be one of his favorite parts of the meal.

“Before I stopped eating cheese, I used to throw cheese on there a lot because the cheese is so good there. Just a good meal to have when you’re crushing meals and then just like that in-between time where you’re not fully hungry for a crazy meal, but like I could eat.

“And especially something that you really like. If I’m not that hungry, but it’s Chipotle, like okay, I could, since I love it so much that I could eat all that food.”

For Bridges, Chipotle is particularly appealing because he enjoys it enough to finish a substantial order even when his appetite is not especially strong.

Taste is only part of the attraction. The NBA forward also likes the nutritional side of his order, particularly the amount of protein he gets from the double chicken.

“Taste and also nutrition factor. Got the protein, all that stuff. It’s not terrible for you. At least I get my protein in and it’s a good meal.”
