There was plenty that he encountered as a Honda HRC and Kawasaki Racing Team rider, as well as a two-time podium finish in the MX2 division.
Ultimately, his career was cut short by a problematic (and initially misdiagnosed) wrist injury that he sustained in his maiden MXGP campaign. Evans rode 'red' for four of his five years, before a move to Kawasaki's factory squad in 2023. That was the first year of the current generation of KX450 – a controversial and problematic bike – so Evans has some fascinating insight about the struggles that Jorge Prado and Chase Sexton have encountered.
