Joventut Badalona ended its long wait for silverware by beating Barça 101–87 in the Endesa Super Cup final, securing its first trophy since 2008.

Nico Laprovittola delivered the decisive performance against his former team.

After leaving Barça without receiving a renewal offer, the veteran guard scored 31 points and added seven assists. Emir Sulejmanovic backed him up with 19 points and nine rebounds.

Joventut entered halftime ahead 52–46, with Laprovittola and Ricky Rubio giving La Penya control from the backcourt.

Barça struggled to find the same stability at point guard despite strong individual performances from Joel Parra and Kevin Punter, who scored 24 and 20 points, respectively.

The game was still within reach at 71–68 entering the fourth quarter, but Joventut took command from there.

Laprovittola remained at the center of the action as La Penya pulled away and completed an emphatic victory over its historic rival.

For Joventut, the win brought a nearly two-decade trophy drought to an end, with Laprovittola playing the leading role against the club he previously represented.
