The Situation: As the Guardians’ hold on the third Wild Card in the AL grows ever more tenuous, they continue to look for more ways to bolster their lineup. They added Jo Adell and Blake Perkins at the deadline for outfield help (yes, they will both be help, that’s part of the issue), and now call up their best infield prospect, Angel Genao. It also probably didn’t hurt that the now DFA’d Gabriel Arias made an error that cost them three runs in a loss to the Mets last night. Every game really counts now.
