Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Last week, EVOC rolled out an impressively broad assortment of bikepacking bags designed to offer a modular mix-and-match system for outfitting an entire bike. Find a quick look at the new EVOC Bikepacking Collection here…

In a bold move, EVOC unveiled an array of nearly 30 new bikepacking bags late last week, aiming to make their mark in an already crowded space with a fully modular system of waterproof, PFAS-free bags built around cleverly designed shared straps and mounts.

EVOC Bikepacking Collection

The new collection is split into two lines: The Ultra range features minimal, race-focused bags, and the Explorer range is for everyday riding, commuting, and bikepacking. Find a quick overview of everything below, with details provided directly by EVOC.

HANDLEBAR PACKS

EVOC’s new 5L uses a tool-free BOA dial-and-strap system that eliminates the need for a heavy aftermarket mount. The side-loading roll-top bag is perfect for packing bulky items that compress, like a sleeping bag, and can be easily removed if you need to head inside for the night. An exterior elastic cord holds a rain jacket or anything that requires quick, easy access.

The Handlebar Pack WP 1.5 is intended to be the bag that stays on the bike year-round. Big enough for a small jacket and the things you reach for on every ride, and fully waterproof, so your gear stays dry when the weather doesn’t cooperate. Run it alone or stack it with the larger bags if you need more room up front.

The 5-liter bag measures 35×17×15 centimeters, weighs 330 grams, and costs $150. The smaller 1.5-liter bag measures 24.5×10×10 centimeters, weighs 120 grams, and costs $75.

SEAT PACKS

EVOC uses a small wedge that shoehorns around the seat post to help prevent bag wag. This unique design is paired with straps that run underneath the saddle. This combination firmly secures the bag at two points, preventing side-to-side motion. The more you load it, the more the weight pushes down toward the wedge, locking the bag down even tighter.

EVOC Bikepacking Collection

The brand offers two versions. Both seat packs are compatible with dropper posts. They feature an adjustable waterproof roll-top, reflective strips, a rear light strap, and elastic loops for gear that doesn’t fit inside. The Ultra version uses buckles to shave weight and is available in both 4L and 7L capacities. If the Ultra is a rally car, the BOA line is designed for those of us who enjoy the small luxuries. It delivers similar performance at a small weight penalty, but the quick dials make it easier to load and unload.

EVOC has also added reinforced side panels to the seat packs, which help hold the bag’s shape and further reduce the potential for bag wag. BOA straps also better stabilize loads as weights get heavier, allowing EVOC to offer them in larger sizes: 9L, 12L, and 15L.

Prices: $150 (Ultra 4L), $175 (Ultra 7L), $175 (BOA 9L), $200 (BOA 12L), $215 (BOA 15L)

Weights: 290g (Ultra 4L), 360g (Ultra 7L), 530g (BOA 9L), 570g (BOA 12L), 600g (BOA 15L)

Dimensions: 17×30×15 cm (Ultra 4L), 17×42×15 cm (Ultra 7L), 19×45×15 cm (BOA 9L), 20×50×17 cm (BOA 12L), 21×56×17 cm (BOA 15L)

FRAME PACKS

Available in 1.5L and 3L, the frame packs give riders the most room while still clearing two water bottles in the front triangle. They feature smooth one-handed zip access to a large main compartment, as well as slim exterior pockets for smaller items like cash or drink mixes. Inside, an adjustable divider and mesh pockets keep your gear neatly separated and easily accessible.

The 1.5-liter version measures 5×30×11 centimeters, weighs 125 grams, and costs $95. The 3-liter model measures 5×47×12 cm, weighs 200 grams, and costs $115.

PANNIERS

When EVOC set out to build panniers, the team looked for the best mounting system available and even considered designing one in-house. They landed on KlickFix, fellow Germans, known as leading bicycle bracket developers, whose mechanical latches click on and off with ease. The collection includes a 4.5L fork pannier and a 25L rear pannier. The rear hides a padded laptop sleeve and mesh pockets, so you can race on Sunday and work on Monday. It also gets reflective trim and removable shoulder straps.

EVOC Bikepacking Collection

The 4.5-liter Fork Panniers measure 15×12.5×30 centimeters, weigh 260 grams, and cost $100 each. The 25-liter Rear Panniers measure 30×46×16 centimeters, weigh 690 grams, and cost $110 each.

TOP TUBE PACKS

The top tube pack comes in 1L and 2L sizes. Both are easy to open one-handed, have a pass-through charge port for handlebar-mounted electronics, and have enough room for your phone. The interiors feature side mesh pockets for small essentials that you may need to access quickly. Both top tube bags can be lashed together with the frame packs via the shared strap system, or you can use common frame top tube mounts for strap-free installation.

EVOC Bikepacking Collection

Smaller frame sizes don’t leave much room inside the front triangle, so EVOC developed the 2L with ultra-racer Jana Kesenheimer, winner of the women’s Transcontinental Race. The aerodynamic design minimizes drag and allows her to carry additional gear while still accessing two water bottles.

EVOC’s smaller 1L bag measures 5×23×10 centimeters, weighs 125 grams, and costs $55. The 2L model measures 5×45×10 centimeters, weighs 140 grams, and costs $80.

MULTI PACKS

The multipack is what EVOC calls its most versatile pack. Mount it almost anywhere: under the top tube of your full-suspension mountain bike, the seat tube of your hardtail, or underneath the down tube of a fully loaded gravel bike. It’s available in 0.7L or 1.2L sizes.

The 0.7-liter model measures 5 × 9.5 × 21 centimeters, weighs 70 grams, and cost $55. The 1.2-liter model measures 5 × 11 × 24.5 centimeters, weighs 85 grams, and costs $65.

ACCESSORY POUCHES

EVOC’s new food pouch, known internally as the “burrito bag,” is stem-mounted and insulated. It’s the perfect size for keeping the aforementioned burrito warm on the way to camp or keeping that tall can cold. It also features an outside mesh pocket for stashing wrappers. Remember, leave no trace.

EVOC also designed a down tube pack, which is a waterproof anything bag. It’s the perfect place to keep spare tubes, tools, and the like. This location often gets covered in crud, making it a poor spot for a zipper. Instead, a roll-top makes it easy to access your things while maximizing water (mud/dust/grit/bug) proofness.

The Food Pouch measures 9.5×17×9.5 centimeters, weighs 90 grams, and costs $50. The Downtube Pack measures 7×30×8 centimeters, weighs 70 grams, and costs $70.

SEAT BAGS

Lastly, to match the durability of the bikepacking collection, EVOC developed the new Seat Bag Tour from the same waterproof fabric, with a water-repellent zipper and a Hypalon panel to protect the seatpost from abrasion. It comes in M and L. For shorter days out, the Seat Bag Ultra keeps it simple. Clean, rail-mounted, and available in the ever-fashionable Violet.

The Ultra measures 7×13×5 centimeters, weighs 38 grams, and costs $30. The Tour M measures 9.5×15×8.5 centimeters, weighs 97 grams, and costs $35. The Tour L measures 11.5×17×10 centimeters, weighs 97 grams, and costs $40.
