The semifinal field is set at the FIVB Volleyball Girls' U17 World Championship. According to WorldofVolley, the United States, China, Chinese Taipei and Türkiye punched their tickets to the final four on August 15, with two of the four quarterfinals going the full five sets and previously unbeaten Korea suffering its first defeat.

USA was the only team to avoid dropping a set throughout the quarterfinals, dispatching Italy 3-0 (25-10, 25-15, 26-24). The Americans tightened up in the third set but held on, and they have yet to surrender a set in the entire tournament. Kari Knotts led the offense with 19 points, including six aces, while Maya Ogbogu contributed 13 and Julia Masselink added 12.

China Survives a Croatian Comeback

Defending champions China needed all five sets to get past Croatia. China built a 2-0 lead before Croatia leveled by winning the third and fourth sets, forcing a tiebreak. The champions closed it out 15-7 to preserve their title defense. Ren Sichen paced China with 15 points and Chen Ruihan added 14. Croatia's Erin Ivezić posted 33 points, the highest individual total across all four quarterfinals.

Türkiye Ends Korea's Unbeaten Run

Türkiye handed Korea its first loss of the championship in a 3-1 result (21-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-17). Korea took the opener, but Türkiye edged a tight second set 27-25 and never looked back. Zeynep Doğa Alpay led Türkiye with 20 points, Ecrin Selis Türkyaşar added 18 and Nejla Guzonjic chipped in 17. Türkiye also dominated at the net, recording 21 blocks compared to Korea's four.

Chinese Taipei Rallies Past Thailand

Chinese Taipei came from a set down to beat Thailand 3-2 (15-25, 26-24, 29-27, 22-25, 15-7). After dropping the opener, they won back-to-back close sets before Thailand forced a fifth. Chinese Taipei then controlled the decider convincingly. Chang Yun-Chen led all Chinese Taipei scorers with 25 points, while Chen Ting-Yi and Cheng Yung-Yu each added 15. Thailand's Natthamon Ajchua topped the match with 32 points but it wasn't enough.
