Former UFC middleweight champion Khamzat Chimaev and Dillon Danis got into it just hours before their RAF 10 headliner.

Khamzat Chimaev suffered one of the biggest upsets in UFC history last month at UFC 328 against Sean Strickland. In his long-awaited first UFC middleweight title defense, Chimaev struggled against Strickland’s pace and pressure en route to a split decision loss.

After suffering his first-career defeat in the cage, Chimaev wants to run it back with Strickland later this year, although it’s uncertain if the UFC will grant his wish. In the meantime, he’s staying active via a Real American Freestyle clash against polarizing star Dillon Danis at RAF 10 this weekend.

Chimaev and Danis are known for being nightmares for security personnel in the buildups to their competitions. After weeks of social media barbs traded between them, Chimaev and Danis crossed paths in St. Louis ahead of RAF 10, and things nearly turned chaotic.

Chimaev vs. Danis headlines an intriguing card at RAF 10 as the former UFC middleweight champion ponders his next move inside the Octagon. Despite initially telling UFC CEO Dana White about his plans to move to light heavyweight, Chimaev seems intent on running it back with Strickland later this year.

In the meantime, Chimaev will look to make a statement in his high-profile RAF 10 debut. Meanwhile, Danis will look to earn his first RAF win after losing to former UFC title challenger Colby Covington in March.
