Cam Schlittler fires a pitch to the Blue Jays at Yankee Stadium on Aug. 21, 2026.
Charles Wenzelberg / New York Post
Dylan Cease and Cam Schlittler generally held serve against each other over the weekend as the hitters on their teams had a chance to help their Cy Young candidacies … and didn’t.
Schlittler grinded Friday night, allowing nine baserunners in six innings but just one run in what became a 3-1 Yankees victory over the Blue Jays.
The next afternoon, Cease no-hit the Yankees into the seventh inning, and ultimately allowed two hits, five walks and one run over 6 ⅔ innings in what became a 4-3 Blue Jays triumph.
Cease and Schlittler are by far the front-runners contending for the AL Cy Young Award.
