Bukayo Saka fitness worry for England

Thomas Tuchel has made it clear that Bukayo Saka is not entirely fit for England this summer, which could be a concern.

After an injury-hit season for Arsenal, it seems that England might not be able to rely on Saka to play 90 minutes at the World Cup, with Tuchel admitting he would have to manage him carefully.

Noni Madueke started for England in last night’s win over Costa Rica, with Saka coming off the bench in the 62nd minute.

How will England line up?

One of the big topics of debate surrounding England at this World Cup will be Thomas Tuchel’s attacking midfield selection.

Jamie Carragher has already spoken about this on the Overlap, stating his view that he could see Tuchel opting for Morgan Rogers over Jude Bellingham in that number ten role.

“It’s the World Cup. It’s about winning,” Carragher said on The Overlap on YouTube. “But I think the way you saw him deal with Bellingham, leaving Palmer out and Foden. It’s almost like a message to the rest of the (squad), you know what – he’s the manager. He’s going to make big decisions. I think he’ll start with Rogers.”

Good news for Spain fans, and indeed neutrals in general, as Lamine Yamal IS expected to be fit for the World Cup.

The 18-year-old is one of the game’s biggest superstars already, but there were fears that he could miss the start of this tournament after being out injured since April.

However, it now looks like Yamal should be fit enough to play for Spain in their opening group game against Cape Verde.
