Orgo-Life the new way to the future

Aroldis Chapman's resurgence certainly hasn't gone unnoticed around Major League Baseball.

The Cuban Missile is turning back the clock and defying Father Time, and he's been one of the few bright spots for the Boston Red Sox this season.

That's why he's also been tabbed as a clear-cut trade candidate ahead of the Aug. 3 trade deadline, with a return to the New York Yankees as a rumored possibility.

However, the Bronx Bombers might not be alone in their pursuit of the former All-Star. Per FanSided's Christopher Kline, the Los Angeles Dodgers could also be in the running.

The Dodgers could make a run at Aroldis Chapman

"L.A. has received next to nothing from Edwin Diaz, their high-profile free agent signing who's stuck on the IL. And yet, the Dodgers look insurmountable late in games," Kline wrote. "Why not double down? With rumors of San Diego and other NL contenders hunting big-name closers, Los Angeles has the prospect capital to swoop in and add Aroldis Chapman, just because."

In this scenario, the Dodgers would likely have to give up LHP Jackson Ferris to get their hands on Chapman.

Dave Roberts' team once again has an elite bullpen after a down year, with Will Klein and Tanner Scott leading the way.

While Diaz hasn't lived up to the hype after their big financial investment this offseason, pairing him with Scott and Chapman in October would be a scary sight for every team in baseball, and that's right on cue with the way the stacked Dodgers have operated in recent years.

Per Baseball Reference, Chapman has logged a 0.44 ERA with 28 strikeouts in 20.2 innings of work this season, and he's converted all 14 of his save opportunities.

And with a player option after this year in his contract, multiple teams will certainly keep tabs on his situation.
