The Yankees and Red Sox will play two Saturday in The Bronx.

In Game 1 of the doubleheader, the Bombers will get another look at 25-year-old southpaw Jake Bennett, who has been solid for Boston since his big-league debut in early May.

Bennett enters the matchup 8-6 with a 3.49 ERA and 67 strikeouts over 87 2/3 innings.

He has already seen the Yankees once this season, giving Boston a quality outing when the rivals met earlier this summer.

Bennett held the Yankees to one run on three hits over 6 1/3 innings in a 4-1 Red Sox win on June 27, while walking two and striking out three.

The youngster hasn’t been nearly as sharp recently, though.

He has allowed at least three earned runs in each of his past six starts, pitching to a 5.29 ERA over 34 innings during that stretch.

That downturn is even more concerning considering four of those six outings came against the Orioles, Athletics (twice) and Giants, which are average-to-below-average lineups, at best.

Despite being held to one run both Thursday and Friday, the Yankees’ lineup had shown some life without Aaron Judge, averaging 4.9 runs over its past 10 games before Friday’s 1-0 victory and scoring six runs or more four times during that stretch.

The Yankees also have the benefit of having already seen Bennett’s arsenal this season.

And while that first meeting went the lefty’s way, his recent inability to keep runs off the board makes it difficult to trust him to repeat that performance against a lineup trending in the right direction.

The play: Jake Bennett Over 2.5 earned runs (+101, DraftKings)
