Presented by FXR Racing: The 450 class is heading into the motos at Ironman Raceway with the championship coming down to the final two races of the season. Jorge Prado earned the top qualifying spot after setting the fastest overall time of the morning, while Hunter Lawrence finished second and Jett Lawrence improved in the second session to move into third. Haiden Deegan qualified fourth, with R.J. Hampshire rounding out the top five. The track became increasingly rough and deeply rutted throughout qualifying, forcing riders to be precise with their line choices and making mistakes much easier to come by. Hunter enters the motos with just a one-point advantage over Jett in the championship, meaning every position will matter from the moment the gate drops. With Prado showing strong speed, Deegan close behind and the Lawrence brothers fighting for the title, the stage is set for a massive final afternoon of 450 racing at Ironman.

450 OVERALL RACE RESULTS

Though Hunter is the champion, both Lawrence brothers won.

Jorge Prado grabbed the holeshot and immediately put himself out front, with Hunter Lawrence, Jett Lawrence and Haiden Deegan slotting in right behind him. With the championship on the line, the opening laps quickly turned into a battle between the Lawrence brothers, but Deegan was not about to let them settle in.

Deegan was able to get around Jett and move into third, then began applying pressure to Hunter for second. Hunter made a small mistake under that pressure, and Deegan took advantage to move by. That left Jett and Hunter fighting directly with each other for third, and with every position carrying major championship implications, neither rider was willing to give an inch.

Behind them, Eli Tomac worked his way into fifth, putting together one of his strongest rides of the season. Up front, Jett eventually found a way past Hunter, but even with the position change, Hunter still held a two-point advantage in the championship. From there, the two brothers continued to battle lap after lap, with Hunter staying close enough that Jett could never completely break away. As the race wore on, both riders also began closing the gap to Deegan ahead of them, keeping the pressure high all the way through the closing laps.

In the end, Hunter Lawrence did exactly what he needed to do. He stayed close enough to Jett, limited the points loss and finished the final moto with enough of an advantage to secure the 2026 450 Pro Motocross Championship. After entering Ironman with just a one-point lead, Hunter survived a tense final moto and walked away as champion.
