Orgo-Life the new way to the future Advertising by AdpathwayAS Monaco’s bid to compete in the 2026-27 Betclic Elite season has suffered a setback after the French Basketball Federation’s Appeals Chamber upheld the decision denying the club’s participation.
The reigning French champions announced they are now considering taking the case to the French National Olympic and Sports Committee (CNOSF) in hopes of reversing the ruling and securing eligibility for domestic competition.
In its statement, Monaco also expressed gratitude to the Principality’s institutions and those assisting the club as it works through its restructuring process and attempts to satisfy the financial and regulatory standards required by the FFBB and LNB.
The ruling creates significant uncertainty surrounding Monaco’s plans for next season, including roster decisions such as the expected signing of Yakuba Ouattara.
The club is expected to provide further updates after deciding whether to pursue another appeal.
