Haywood Highsmith has been waived by the Phoenix Suns. Highsmith was partially guaranteed $1 million of his $3 million for the upcoming 2026-27 season.

Highsmith appeared in seven games last season with the Suns, averaging 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.0 minutes. Highsmith signed with the Suns in February after he was waived by the Brooklyn Nets. Highsmith underwent knee surgery during the 2025 offseason.

During the 2024-25 season with the Miami Heat, Highsmith averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 24.6 minutes over 74 games.
