Free agent center Nick Richards has been spotted wearing Miami Heat gear in recent social media posts. It's since been confirmed that Richards has bene working out in Miami alongside several Heat players.

This isn't an indication that Richards is signing with the Heat, but a deal there could make sense for both sides. Miami could use another big man to fill out their frontcourt rotation. Richards would play a real role for the Heat on a team with aspirations of contending.

Miami could offer Richards a veteran minimum contract. The Heat have to fill at least two standard roster spots to get to the mandatory minimum of 14 players.

Richards split last season between the Phoenix Suns and Chicago Bulls. The 6-foot-10 center averaged 9.4 points and 7.6 rebounds in 22.4 minutes per game with the Bulls.
