The Toronto Raptors will retire Kyle Lowry's No. 7 jersey following their game against the Philadelphia 76ers on January 10, the team announced on Thursday.

Lowry joins Vince Carter as the only two players who have had their jersey retired by the team.

The 40-year-old recently signed a one-day contract with the Raptors on 7/7.

"I've been looking forward to this moment for years. I always said that Toronto is home, and that I'd retire a Raptor, and to see my No. 7 go up in that building is going to mean everything to me," Lowry said in a statement.

Lowry averaged 13.8 points and 6.0 assists per game in his career.
