Spain big man Santi Aldama has been ruled out for upcoming 2027 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers. Aldama is prioritizing his recovery from mid-March knee surgery over playing in late-August qualifiers. The 7-footer is expected to be ready for Dallas Mavericks training camp at the end of September.

Aldama spent the first five years of his career with the Memphis Grizzlies before a trade sent him to Dallas this offseason. Before being shut down for knee surgery last season, the forward/center had averaged a career-high 14.0 points and 6.7 rebounds.
