Seth Trimble has committed to play at the University of Louisville for the upcoming college basketball season. Trimble said he considers North Carolina "home" but that a full roster caused him to seek to play elsewhere.

Trimble is one of several players who were recently granted a fifth year of collegiate eligibility in a recent legal ruling. The NCAA has pushed back against that ruling, so it's not guaranteed that Trimble and others will receive an additional year to play in college.

As a senior for the Tar Heels, Trimble averaged 14 points, 3.8 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.3 steals. The 6-foot-3 point guard played in Las Vegas Summer League for the Washington Wizards but has not signed a professional contract. That makes Trimble, at least for now, eligible to return to play in college for another season.
