Six wins, a contract, three straight losses, a kickboxing detour, a first-round knockout from Hyu, and now a fresh start in a new weight class. Suablack Tor Pran49 has been through every version of this career. July 17 is where he reintroduces himself.

Suablack makes his flyweight Muay Thai debut against Scottish standout Stephen “El Matador” Irvine in a flyweight Muay Thai bout at ONE Fight Night 45: Lessei vs. Rabah on Prime Video, broadcasting live in U.S. primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on Friday, July 17.

The 28-year-old opens his Muay Thai campaign at flyweight after a brief transition into kickboxing. That produced mixed results and ended with a first-round knockout loss to Hyu at ONE Fight Night 41 in March. Irvine arrives from the ONE Friday Fights weekly series.

There, a 7-1 promotional record built through consistent appearances earned him a US$100,000 contract with a first-round finish of Rambong Sor Therapat at ONE Friday Fights 128. He trains alongside ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Nico Carrillo and makes his main roster debut on July 17.

Two further Muay Thai additions complete the card. Three-time Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Suakim Pongsuphan PK faces Russian contender Dmitrii “The Silent Assassin” Kovtun in bantamweight Muay Thai. Additionally, Kovtun enters with back-to-back wins over Shinji Suzuki and Mohanad Battbootti and eyes a rematch with ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon.

Rounding out the additions, Thai technician Black Panther meets Filipino-American Sean Climaco in flyweight Muay Thai. Black Panther has won five in a row after a difficult promotional debut. Climaco has split his four appearances and arrives motivated to bounce back from a decision loss to Akif Guluzada.

How the Suablack vs Irvine styles match up at ONE Fight Night 45 on July 17

Suablack Tor Pran49 and Stephen Irvine represent two distinct roads to the same destination. Suablack built his reputation on explosive, knockout-hunting Muay Thai at bantamweight before hitting adversity and reinventing himself. Irvine built his through weekly appearances, consistent improvement, and one defining finish.

Both men want a statement. Moreover, Suablack needs to show his flyweight transition is real and that the Hyu loss was an interruption, not a conclusion. However, Irvine needs to announce himself on the main roster against an opponent the division already knows. The matchup gives each fighter exactly the test they need at exactly the right time.
