In the main event, the No. 7-ranked middleweight contender Anthony Hernandez will lock horns with the No. 10-ranked Gregory Rodrigues.
Anthony Hernandez was riding an 8-fight win streak earlier this year and may have secured a title shot had he beaten Sean Strickland at UFC Houston. But “Tarzan” knocked him out and sent him back to the drawing board. Tonight, “Fluffy” would look to return to winning ways and start another winning streak in the hopes of climbing the rankings, becoming a top contender, and earning a title shot soon.
Gregory Rodrigues, meanwhile, is riding a three-fight winning streak. With a victory over No. 7-ranked Anthony Hernandez tonight at UFC Sacramento, the Brazilian knockout artist could solidify his position in the title picture.
The co-main event of UFC Sacramento features a heavyweight contest between Serghei Spivac and Vitor Petrino.

Vitor Petrino defeated Serghei Spivac by unanimous decison (30-27 x 3)
Vitor Petrino largely dominated the first two rounds at UFC Sacramento against Serghei Spivac. The Brazilian heavyweight bloodied up Spivac early, and in the second stanza, from full mount, punished “Polar Bear” with nonstop ground and pound.
In the final stanza, Spivac hurt Petrino with two vicious right hooks but could not get a finish as Petrino decided to take the fight to the ground and also recover in the clinch.
A gassed-out Spivac tried to land a fight-ending blow in the final seconds but barely had any gas left in his tank.

Reinier de Ridder defeated Roman Dolidze in Round 1 by TKO (4:01)
Roman Dolidze’s decison to take the fight to the ground right away at UFC Sacramento turned out to be an awful call. Against a decorated wrestler like Reinier de Ridder, Dolidze wanted a quick submission finish. However, “RDR” in his UFC 205- pound debut was prepared not to give his leg away easily to the Georgian fighter.
With Dolidze pulling guard, de Ridder from full mount secured a TKO finish in R1 with vintage ground-and-pound and snapped his two-fight losing skid.
MarQuel Mederos defeated Mason Jones in Round 2 by TKO (2:07)
MarQuel Mederos dealt with a ton of adversity in Round 1 at UFC Sacramento against Mason Jones. Jones dropped Mederos late in R1 with a calf kick and immediately tried to hunt for a submission. However, Mederos somehow survived.
In the 2nd stanza, Mederos and Jones went back and forth nonstop, and just when it looked like “The Dragon” would finish the 29-year-old, Mederos wobbled Mason Jones with 3 back-to-back elbows and then caught and stunned him with perfect 1-2 combinations. Jones did not get dropped but was wobbly on the feet. Thus, the referee stopped the bout to save “The Dragon” from further punishment.
Carli Judice defeated Jeisla Chaves in Round 1 by TKO (1:39)
Carli Judice hurt Jeisla Chaves with a front kick to the midsection at UFC Sacramento. As the 29-year-old undefeated Brazilian crumpled in pain near the cage, Judice went for the final kill with nonstop uppercuts, forcing the referee to step in to stop the bout at 1:39 of R1.
That’s 4 back-to-back wins for “Crispy” in the UFC and her 6th knockout victory.
Anthony Wint defeated Terrance Chatman via submission in Round 1 (4:29)
Anthony Wint’s short-notice UFC debut went just as he would have wanted.
While both 265-pounders were busy in the opening minutes of Round 1 to find their range and distance, Wint secured a takedown, which nearly backfired when Chatman almost pulled on the kimura. However, after escaping the momentary danger, Wint put Chatman to sleep in the last few seconds of the first frame with a nasty arm triangle.
