Arman Tsarukyan wants former division champion Ilia Topuria to rest a little longer and see an ophthalmologist while he marches forward and captures the UFC lightweight title.
This past weekend at UFC 331, Tsarukyan knocked out Mauricio Ruffy cold in Round 1. This highlight-reel finish seemed more than enough to get a title shot next.

Meanwhile, Tsarukyan said he wants to fight again in December, and if Gaethje does not want to compete, he can vacate.
In another interview with Sport24, “Batman” took a light, heated jab at “El Matador”. He quipped:
“Let Ilia see an ophthalmologist and take some time to fully recover. Maybe another four or five months. Once I become champion, we’ll talk. I’d be happy to fight him.”

Topuria most recently announced that he’s cleared to fight, and as per his camp, the 29-year-old has started training and will be ready to compete starting February 2027. The Georgian-Spaniard wants to rematch Gaethje when he comes back, but “The Highlight” has other plans.
After Tsarukyan’s UFC 331 win, fans and most of the MMA community now want to see Gaethje vs. Tsarukyan and Topuria vs. Paddy Pimblett.

After sending Mauricio Ruffy to the shadow realm, Arman Tsarukyan told Joe Rogan his next fight should be a title fight or a fight against Mark Zuckerberg.
